Community Dinners

In 2012 members of the Board of Missions began offering a free monthly community dinner with the intent of providing support for our food insecure neighbors. During the last seven years we discovered that these monthly dinners feed another, equally important hunger – the hunger for community. On the second Friday of each month a different group – the Girl Scouts and Boys Scouts, Fire Department, Friends of the Library, Farmers Market and many others – fixes dinner and acts as host. The menu varies but the company is always lively as old friends, new neighbors, tired commuters, and busy families gather to enjoy the food an the company.

Come join us the first Friday of every month, 5:30 – 7. Volunteers are welcome.
